    3. When I attempt to connect to Databank using www.databank-cpcb.nic.in I get the message "The operation timed out?" What should I do?

      Make sure Pop-up blocker is turned off: Pop-up blocker is turned on by default.

      To turn off Pop-up Blocker:
      • On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker.
      • Click turn off Pop-up Blocker.
    7. I have Windows 98 with Internet Explorer 6.0 installed in my computer. I still get the "Page cannot be displayed" error when I try to access databank. What should I do?

      This error occurs when your browser is not Java enabled. You need to enable the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) in your browser

      To enable the JVM in Internet Explorer:

      1. Click the [Tools]=>[Internet Options] menu in your Internet Explorer window. An Internet Options dialog box is displayed.
      2. Click the [Advanced] tab in the dialog box. A Settings group box displays a list of current browser settings.
      3. Scroll through the list to view the Microsoft VM settings.

      Note: Some systems may have JAVA (SUN) option instead of Microsoft VM.

      1. In the options list displayed under the Microsoft VM settings, uncheck the JAVA (SUN) box.
      1. Click [Apply].
      2. Click [OK].
      3. Restart your computer to apply the new settings.

      If you cannot view the Microsoft VM or JAVA(SUN)]settings in the [Advanced] tab of the Internet Options dialog box, then you need to:

      • Install [Microsoft VM] [Free Downloading available on internet.].
      • Reinstall Internet Explorer with Microsoft VM.
